Stillhouse Junkies-CANCELLED

2 April

£10 – £11

Born out of a long-standing weekly residency at a distillery in Durango, Colorado, Stillhouse Junkies – Fred Kosak (vocals, guitar & mandolin), Alissa Wolf (vocals & Fiddle) & Cody Tinnin (vocals, double bass & banjo) – have quickly become a staple of the Southwest’s rich music scene, establishing a solid fan base through multi-hour performances that feature soaring group improvisations, innovative covers and intimate vocal-driven ballads

With all three band members trading lead vocal duties, Stillhouse Junkies paint with a rich tonal palette that pays homage to their musical heroes while forging a unique artistic path.

Through their strong writing and creative, intricate arranging, the Junkies have built up an eclectic catalogue of original music that reflects their diverse interests (from classical to blues, bluegrass and swing) and defies easy genre distinctions.

Their songs run the gamut of human emotion and experience and they pay tribute to the remarkable diversity of both the Southwestern US and North America as a whole, probing below the surface of everyday life.

The trio won 2nd prize in the band competition at the prestigious Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2018 and entered the studio to record their second EP, Hillbilly Poetry, a collection of original songs released in February 2019 and promoted by appearances at festivals and venues throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah.

This will be the first visit to the UK by a band that is building a great reputation.
