Seagull Youth Theatre
Operating since September 2014, The Seagull Youth Theatre runs on a Wednesday evening with three different age groups, 5-8yrs, 9-11yrs and 12+. The first two sessions are run by Louise Harrison who is ably assisted by Grace Kent and Francesca Hailey while Ashleigh Sendin takes the oldest group assisted by Edwin Mascorn. Occasionally we hire in guest tutors to expand the teaching offered and to give the children different experiences.
- Performing skills with exercise and games.
- Script and Improvisation work.
- Technical- Lighting, Sound, Stage management.
- Costumes and Prop Making.
These classes are great for giving your child a fantastic all round experience in all disciplines of performing whilst helping them to develop and grow in self confidence.
Aged 5 – 8 (year 1 – 4) 5pm – 6pm £50 ( based on an 11 week term)
Aged 9 – 11 (year 5 – 7) 6.15pm – 7.15pm £50 (based on an 11 week term)
Aged 12+ (year 8 +) 7pm – 8.30pm £66 ( based on an 11 week term)
All groups will perform small showcases to parents and also a production in our theatre once a year.
Seagull Musical Theatre
Complementing the Youth Theatre we now also offer a Musical Theatre class for children from schools years 3 upwards. Also run by Ashleigh Sendin who has years of professional experience in performing arts, including lead roles in the West End. She has previously run Theatre schools in Cornwall covering all three disciplines. This session includes vocal warm ups and some movement/dance.
Wednesdays – 6pm – 7pm
