Following many highly acclaimed performances, including support act for Dionne Warwick and Lionel Ritchie, Steve Brookstein first came to the public's attention in 2004 as a vocalist who exploded onto our TV screens as the first ever winner of The X Factor. He has enjoyed great success since then, performing with many of the top jazz singers around today and now records and performs with his wife Eileen Hunter a highly accomplished singer, launching her new album.

It's been a long road since the Seagull Theatre's closure, prompting an impassioned response from the public.
A campaign was begun in earnest to save the Seagull Theatre, known as the SOS (Save Our Seagull) campaign. Although the journey's not over yet, it's worth remembering how it all began.
