Fabba Theatre Company present – Spring into Shakespeare: King Lear

 King Lear has grown tired of ruling the land and decides to give it all up to spend time with his daughters. His daughters, however, have other ideas… In a fit of anger and confusion Lear banishes his one dutiful daughter Cordelia and his most trusted adviser Kent, and commits himself to his cruel and cunning daughters Goneril and Regan. Can he be saved? Will the country survive? Who are the strange men in muddy robes? Fabba take on their greatest challenge yet with William Shakespeare’s tragic masterpiece.

It's been a long road since the Seagull Theatre's closure, prompting an impassioned response from the public. A campaign was begun in earnest to save the Seagull Theatre, known as the SOS (Save Our Seagull) campaign. Although the journey's not over yet, it's worth remembering how it all began.
